Biography

Dr. Jim Thurman has worked for CWC for more than 15 years and has worked throughout the world. He has lived and worked in several countries including Germany, Turkey, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, France and England and has visited more than 25 other countries. 

Dr. Thurman has been in the US Army, Air National Guard, US Navy Reserve and the US State Department Office of Refugee Resettlement program. While in the Navy Reserve he worked in linguistics and foreign policy. He also spent four years of university teaching in Ankara, Turkey.

Dr. Thurma said he loves the fantastic staff, friendly faculty, excellent students and the surrounding community at CWC. When working with students he enjoys the chance to introduce new concepts and inspire interest in new areas.
